Paleo Everything Bagels! These bagels come together in one bowl and 30 minutes! Perfect alternative on a paleo diet!

I have always been a huge bagel lover.  Not always so much for the bagel itself but for all of the stuff you can put on top of it.  I LOVE everything bagels.  I love anything “everything” flavored.  Have you ever had those everything pretzel thins?  I die.  And I absolutely love adding avocado & lemon pepper to any breadish substance… so that was a given.  There is a bagel place by my parents house that we went to after my sister had her baby last year.  It was after a loooooong night in the hospital and we were spent.  We got everything bagels toasted with avocado, tomato, red onion, lemon pepper & salt.  We ate them in the backyard with the warm sun on us it was a day i’ll never forget {partially because I got a nephew, but largely because of the bagel….}.  So while I refuse to cut bagels or anything really out of my food options, I like to have a healthy version of just about anything on hand so I can satisfy those cravings and stay on track.  These Paleo Bagels are the perfect solution!!! And I needed to put my donut pan to good use too.  These pans are super cheap and great to have on hand for when you have a hankering for a baked circular treat!  This recipe takes 30 minutes to make and with definitely curb your everything craving!

Ingredients

Scale

Bagels:

  • 1 1/4 cups almond flour
  • 1/4 cup flaxmeal
  • 1/4 cup + 1 tablespoon coconut flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon celtic sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 5 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

Everything Topping:

  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • 2 teaspoons dried minced onion
  • 1 teaspoon dried minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon coarse sea salt

Instructions

  1. Grease a donut mold with coconut oil. In a large bowl combine almond flour, flax meal, coconut flour, baking soda, garlic powder and salt. In a separate smaller bowl combine eggs and apple cider vinegar together and whisk for 30 seconds. Pour egg mixture into dry ingredients and whisk to combine. Place batter in a resealable plastic bag, snip off one corner, and pipe batter into prepared pan.
  2. In a small bowl combine everything topping ingredients. Sprinkle a little of the topping over the bagels. You will have extra topping so don’t use it all!
  3. Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes, until a knife inserted into the center of a bagel comes out clean
  4. Let bagels cool for 1 hour. Slice and toast if you like and/or top with avocado, lemon pepper and salt!

  1. We’re new to paleo, I’m a good cook and I enjoy experimenting with new things. My partner is super successful with it so far, she’s lost 8 pounds in 14 days. I’ve not been as fortunate, but I’ve had other health benefits. Anyhow, she’s missing the sandwich like stuff. would this be a good “everything bagel” to serve with the avocado dill tuna salad?

    1. OH yes it would be!! Great idea! Mine has been more health benefits than weight loss as well, but I think it is a “slowly but surely” sort of thing. Let me know how those sandwiches go! Thanks for reading!

  2. I just made these and I accidentally left them in the oven waaaaay too long and they are still delish! Currently slicing avocados to go on my bagels!! Thank you for this recipe!

  3. Made these today. They were super dry, non edible dry. Followed the recipe to a T as well. Was super bummed.

      1. After making another recipe that was very similar to yours, I am thinking yours has too much coconut flour? The other recipe I made came out fantastic, but has much less coconut flour.
