Friendsgiving Decorations!

Friendsgiving!! It is sweeping the nation.  Thanksgiving is the time of year to stop what you are doing and be thankful for what you have.  It’s awesome to do it with family on the big day but why not do it with friends too?  This year we had a potluck thanksgiving at our place and it was so much fun!  I thought it would be fun to share my decorations with you here!  Note – wine is the best decoration of them all!  For the tables I  started with a pretty blank canvas of white table cloth and burlap runner.  Because I was combining a rectangle table with a round table, I did burlap place mats on the round table.   Then I had these short mason jars that I decided to fill with popcorn kernels and tea candles.  So simple and cute!

For the vases, I went to the dollar store and got these plain glass vases and some gold glitter.  I taped off where I wanted the glitter and painted on some mod podge.  Then poured glitter all over and took off the tape!  Voila, gold glitter vases!

For the flowers I just went to Vons and picked up some cheap orange daisies and white carnations.  They also had some wheat so I grabbed that and threw it all together!

My colors were pretty neutral and I tried to stay away from too much green and red together.  I went for more burnt oranges, golds and yellows!

I had some fun with my napkin settings.  Who doesn’t love to color at dinner!?  We aren’t that old yet.  I printed out some coloring pages and gave everyone some crayons!

  1. My son and daughter-in-law had a Friendsgiving this year. It was the first time I’d ever heard of it but I love the idea! I had no idea it was a thing! Thanks for the info.
