Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed light-brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp orange extract
  • 1 Tbsp orange zest
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda and salt, set aside. In the bowl of an electric mixer with the paddle attachment, beat together butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in eggs 1 at a time mixing after each addition. Mix in vanilla extract, orange extract and orange zest. Slowly add in dry mixture and mix until well incorporated. Gently stir in chocolate chips. Drop cookies by heaping tablespoonfuls onto a buttered cookie sheet and bake 10-13 minutes. Allow to cool on cookie sheet several minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
