This Sugar Cookie recipe has been in my family for generations and comes out perfectly every time!

- 5 1/2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 1/2 cups softened butter (3 sticks)
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 Tablespoon vanilla
Instructions
- Sift together flour, baking powder & salt in bowl.
- In a separate bowl cream together butter and sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
- Blend in eggs & vanilla.
- Add dry ingredients. Mix well.
- Wrap dough in wax paper and/or plastic wrap, and chill in refridgerator over night.
- Roll out and sprinkle with flour.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 6-8 minutes. (6 for softer cookies, 8 for crispier)
