Kenz Kouture

Guest Post:

By Monica Powers

Hello Friends,

It’s your favorite guest blogger, Monica! I wanted to share my newest obsession in the world of high fashion jewelry. Spread the word, my dearest friend Mackenzie Kassis of Kenz Kouture has the most amazing bracelets, necklaces and rings! I am officially obsessed!

Here is a little bit about my friend Mackenzie and her phenomenal jewelry line:

Mackenzie Kassis founded Kenz Kouture in January 2012 after a lifetime of adoration for making jewelry. “Since I was a little girl I have always loved crafting and making fun jewelry, after all, every princess needs her jewels.” While Mackenzie was in college, she started making wire wrapped rings for her friends for their birthdays and holidays. The trend caught on quickly as the friends were quick to show off their jeweled rings and the requests started flowing in.

Mackenzie sources her materials from local gem fairs, through etsy, and San Francisco bead stores. The products are currently available on her website, at select boutiques, and at a variety of trunk shows.

Check her out and spread the word! Stay fab, Monica!

textured shawl collar jacket {29.80}

Everything Attire

My good friend Lindsey is here once again to share some insight into the world of fashion:

As a “congratulations on finally making the blog you’ve always wanted happen” present to myself, I dedicated a (relatively large) portion of my last paycheck to feed my clothing addiction. A couple of things you should know about me right off the bat – I am a lover of blouses (great work shirts turned effortless chic nightlife attire), skinny jeans, and a great pair of sky high heels. What I love about this simple yet chic outfit is that each article can be worn 1,000 different ways with 1,000 different things. . . this is the epitome of Everything Attire.

To learn more about this outfit, check it out at my new blog Fundamentally Wild!

Pop of Color Sweater & Shoe

By: Lindsey

 As a lover of all things fashion and believer in all things Kelsey McGinley, I decided to succumb to her invite into the addictive world that is Pinterest. As those of you who have an account know (all too well), it isn’t until hours pass and your knee-deep in tab after tab of random websites each pin you took a ‘liking’ to led you, that you realize “am I actually going to buy any of this sh*t?!” Well, I am proud to say that I have purchased my very first Pinterest-inspired piece of clothing and I couldn’t be happier. I took a particular liking (that quickly turned into obsession) to a neon yellow and neutral beige pull-over sweater from Madewell (Pinterest post that got me below!) and within a couple of days I threw up my hands (and my wallet) and made the purchase.

Style tip: Buy a piece of clothing that speaks loudly, but can be worn with many different things. The must-have wardrobe staple right now is color, so buy something eye-catching (like this sweater) and don’t be afraid to pair it with another (more subtle) pop of color. Check out how I wore it with a pair of rolled up skinnies and bright blue flats.  I also wore it over a fuchsia dress with neutral heels and bag to Mother’s Day dinner and it was a hit!

FYI: I will be contributing to Little Bits Of… weekly, but my own website is COMING SOON, so stay tuned and get excited.
